Fruitful
Service
I
am happy to know that Congress Sandesh has completed its
seventh year of successful publication. On this happy occasion,
I congratulate the members of the editorial board and team
and contributors for seven years of eventful and fruitful
service to the nation and the party.
Over
the years, Sandesh has not only become the mouthpiece of
the Congress party, amply reflecting its policies, views
and initiatives but also highlighting in proper perspectives
issues vital to the progress and prosperity of the nation.
The magazine, the brainchild of our leader Smt. Sonia Gandhiji,
has also become the voice of the common man.
I
convey my best wishes on the auspicious occasion and earnestly
hope that the magazine will continue to play a more effective
role in further strengthening the nation and the party in
the days ahead.

Beautiful Journal
Congress
Sandesh is a beautiful journal which highlights the ideology
of the Congress party. The magazine gives details of party
cadre activities, articles and aims and objective of the
party. Articles on Sarva Dharma Sambhav, non-violence, amity,
secularism, democracy, our ancient civilization and our
enriched culture are inspiring, informative and useful.
I
think apart from articles by political personalities, the
magazine should also carry articles by successful retired
personalities from industrial, professional, social, cultural
and administrative services. This will give a new direction
to the thinking of the readers and at the same time will
make the magazine more interesting.

Commitment
and Credibility
The
historic Employment Guarantee Act will not only benefit
15 crore families in the backward region on the country
but will entitle each family a guarantee of 100 days of
job. This act has transformed the curse into a blessing.
The Act conveys the message of commitment and credibility
of the Congress Party.
It
was through the strong will-power of Prime Minister, Dr.
Manmohan Singh and the rigid resolve of Smt. Sonia Gandhi
that has made it possible.
The
Act will not only be instrumental in removing social and
economic disparity but at the same time will create economic
and basic infrastructure. This will lead to poverty eradication
and create self-confidence among the poor villagers. This
Act brings hope into the lives of 5 crore unemployed youth
in the country. Thanks to Smt. Sonia Gandhi and the UPA
Government.

The
Right Step
Smt.
Sonia Gandhi has again demonstrated her wisdom by appointing
Chaudhary Bhajan Lal as the PCC president of Haryana. This
will create a balance between the Party and the Government.
Similarly, the appointment of Dr. Ram Prakash as working
president is a step in the right direction in giving representation
to all sections of society.
