LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

We Should Fight Alone

I am grateful to the Congress Sandesh for making Congress workers aware of party activities across the country. I recommend the journal to everyone.

I hope the Congress will not join hands with any other party in the Hindi-speaking states in elections. Some political parties are thriving on corruption, religious and caste discrimination. In such a situation it is not wise to align with any other party.

Economic Slump Hits World Trade

Like every year the festival of Diwali is here but again it has brought no cheers in the business community as they are facing a big slump. For the last three years the trading community has been anxiously waiting new project that could vitalise economy. They are worried about the funds invested in their dying trade.

I appeal to all associations of various industrial sector to come together and chart out their problems and approach the government for concrete steps to revive the economy before it is too late.

A Touching Issue

Received the September issue of Congress Sandesh and felt happy after going through it. The magazine has come up with good information about the party and I am thrilled by the contents printed therein. As a true Congressman I promise to take the message of Congress Sandesh to all my friends who are interested in becoming the members of the Congress family as it has touched their hearts too.

I congratulate the journal on entering 4th year of its publication and wish all the success in future.

Ruler of Hearts

The sudden demise of the senior Congress leader, Shri Madhavrao Scindia, has plunged the nation into gloom. This ex-ruler of Gwalior had won nine times in the Lok Sabha elections and proved that he was not only a ruler of a state but also the ruler of the hearts of the people of his state. In his death Parliament has lost a great voice.

We request the High Command to select the deputy leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha who is a grassroot leader.

Two Ideals

I am a student. I want to do something for my country by undertaking constructive activity. I have always followed the ideals of those who stood out in the crowd, like Rajiv Gandhi and Madhav Rao Scindia.

Good Medium

I am a regular reader of Congress Sandesh and an active worker of the party. In its three year of existance the journal has helped the party workers in understanding the various issues before the party and the nation and also in appreciating them from the Congress perspective. No small achievement this.

The credit goes to our Congress president, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi. It was so thoughtful of her to launch this monthly journal which has emerged as a powerful mouthpiece of the party. It is keeping the party cadre abreast of the activities of the party. It has become part and parcel of the life of the Congress worker.

Congratulations!

I have been reading regularly Congress Sandesh for the last six months. The journal helps us to learn about the policies, activities and programmes of the party and it’s frontal organisations. Congratulations for successful completion of three years of publication.
