Seminar to Spread Message

JAMSHEDPUR : Under the leadership of AICC member, Shri Rajesh Kumar Shukla Congress leaders of Jharkhand toured parts of East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Saraikela, Sarsawa, Deoghar and Dumka districts to spread the message of the Congress President, Smt. Sonia Gandhi which she delivered at the two-day national convention of Block and District presidents at the Ambedkar Stadium on 28 and 29 March in New Delhi and at the ‘Desh Bachao Rally’ at the Ramlila Maidan on 30 March.

Addressing a seminar in Deoghar, Shri Shukla said that the Congress rule is in 15 states due to the inspiration and far-sightedness of a brave leader like Smt. Sonia Gandhi.

Shri Shukla, who is also the member of Working Committee of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, said that the formation of Jharkhand state is due to the efforts of the Congress president, Smt. Sonia Gandhi.

The state government is reluctant to hold elections to Panchayats and municipalities and the Congress workers in the state are protesting against it. Shri Shukla asked all Congressmen from Jharkhand to shun their differences and come together and strengthen the hands of Smt. Sonia Gandhi.

Others who participated in the tour were JPCC secretary, Shri Mohsin, ex-MP Shri Nathuni Ram, Shri Sunil Shukla, Jharkhand regional Congress former secretary, Shri Kameshwar Giri and other senior leaders.

Notice to 2 MPs

NEW DELHI : Shri Jaipal Reddy said on 9 May that the Party had taken a negative view of the behaviour of the two MPs in the Lok Sabha who remained in the Lok Sabha despite the party’s decision to walk out. “We have given show-cause notices to both of them. As for Mr. Jagmeet Brar, he has been relieved of his position as a party whip in the Lok Sabha. This is the step we have taken. To be fair to Mr. Brar, he gave a letter yesterday making amends of what he did yesterday. Show-cause notices were issued to Mr. Lakshman Singh and Mr. Brar”.

Sikh Young Circle Rally

PUNE : The Pune District Congress Committee Minority Cell president, Shri Edwin Roberts with other office-bearers welcomed the Khalsa two-wheelers rally organised by the Sikh Young Circle here on 13 April. A large number of youths participated in the rally held on the occasion of Baisakhi. The office-bearers of the Minority Cell Moses Kalkati, Inderjit Singh, Vinod Solanki, Edward Jacob, Babloo Royal, and others participated in the function with Shri Edwin Roberts. Sant Ishwar Singh of Hyderabad, Charanjit Singh Sapra, Amarjit Singh Parbar, Shri Santokh Singh Rajpal and many others participated in the rally.
