Few Suggestions

Sir — The issue of May-June was really extraordinary, especially with articles of Mr. Mani Shankar Aiyer regarding the anti-poor policies of the present govt. and also the Panchyati Raj, the dream of our late leader Rajivji. Thanks and congrats to the author for giving fact and figures.

Panchyati Raj is only key to bring glory and success to our party as well as to our country. Our constituent assembly during '47 to 50 also dreamt of this. Our strongest PM late Indiraji also thought this and followed it. The Directive Principles of State policy, too, emphasised it. Atually, every administration, whether it is temporary or any system, should have a human face. Our greatest leaders of the millennium, gandhiji, used to say that any govt.'s performance should pass the test that the last person of society gets the fruits of freedom..

Panchyati Raj is also the gift of the congress for development at the local level and give voice to the weaker sectons of society. Late Rajiv gandhi successfully implemented Panchyati Raj and gave unique gift to the Indian rural society. Compliments to Congress Sandesh for future success.

Sir — I would like to give you some suggestions in the interest of the congress party.

The magazine should be made available to common people too and not be limited onliy to congress members.

Every month at least 300 magazines should be supplied to all the DCC presidents to be sold to the people with the help of their block presidents and active members. The magazine should contain more facts and important statements. reduce the number of pages of the magazine and sell it at the cost price. It is difficult to gain the confidence of people just about singing about the glorious past. Therefore, it is necessary for the Congress to expose the govt. by highlighting its faliures, political weakness and other drawbacks. Articles on these issues will play a key role in changing the mindset of the public in favour of the congress.

Rajesh Pilot

Sir,
Late Rajesh Pilot was a dynamic, leader of the congress party. His personality was marked by qualities such as frankness, loyality and service to the nation for which will always be remembered. He always desired to serve the farmers, the poor and the youth of the country. The untimely death of Rajesh Pilot in an accident was an irrepairable damage to the nation and the congress party. Destiny has snatched from us our beloved, courageous and popular leader.
