IYC Demands Nitish Kumar’s Resignation

NEW DELHI : Demanding resignation of the Union Railway Minister, Shri Nitish Kumar, Indian Youth Congress (IYC) workers staged a demonstration on July 4 near Rail Bhavan in the Capital alleging that the Railway authorities had failed miserably to ensure safety and security of passengers. It was led by the AICC general secretary, Shri Mukul Wasnik, and the IYC president, Shri Randeep Singh Surjewala.

Addressing the protesters, Shri Wasnik said Shri Nitish Kumar was the most incompetent Minister in the Atal Behari Vajpayee Cabinet and even after repeated train mishaps and loss of lives, he had shown little moral responsibility to resign. Exhorting the IYC activists to start "a decisive battle" to dislodge the NDA Government, he charged that the Vajpayee Government had failed on every front.
