LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Food for Work Policy Hailed

I had the chance to read the September issue of the Congress Sandesh and felt very happy. I was much impressed by the Congress President’s letter to the Prime Minister regarding her views on distribution of foodgrain to the labourers in lieu of wages. The ‘food for work’ policy devised by the Congress can go a long way in uplifting the rural poor. Sandesh is a useful medium for the Congress workers as they are kept abreast of the day-to-day activities of the party throughout the country.

Long Live Sonia Gandhi

We congratulate our Congress president Smt. Sonia Gandhi on her birth anniversary on 9 December. On this occasion we organised a meeting in our house and prayed for long life of Soniaji and distributed sweets to children. Under her leadership, may the Congress grow stronger day by day.

Loving Panditji

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, whose birth anniversary was celebrated on November 14, was a true Congressman who fought with rock-like determination for the freedom of India. Once, Panditji was jailed in Nabha jail where he was illtreated and at that time he vowed never to visit Nabha again. But on attaining Independence, he as the first Prime Minister of the nation, came to Nabha and I had the chance to hear him at the military ground outside the city. His speech was full of love for his people and the country. It was due to the struggle of people like him we are now enjoying the fruits of Independence.

Useful Medium

The Congress Sandesh magazine is a useful informative medium. It is my request that the cover page of our magazine should carry the photo of Congress president, Smt. Sonia Gandhi. My heartfelt best wishes for progress of the Congress Sandesh.

Promoting Parsi Culture

The Parsi community, one of the most talented, is on the decline. Parsis have contributed richly towards building the nation in every field in a most admirable manner. Indian Government should take every possible step to promote their unique culture. The Indian Government should launch a campaign to educate people about qualities of Parsi life-style.

Yeoman Service

I have been receiving the Congress Sandesh every month and would like to thank you for bringing out such a beautiful magazine month after month. The magazine brings out the party guidelines, which are proving beneficial to the party workers who feel encouraged and are seriously carrying out the party work in our State. I am very much impressed by the contents of the magazine. May the Sandesh live long.

Congress is the Best

The Congress is the only party in the country with a clean image. It is the only party which can give the country a strong and stable government where people of all religions can live in harmony. The governance was a success whenever Congress led the nation. It is the Congress which made supreme sacrifices during the freedom movement. I am proud that I am a Congressman.

The present pace of progress and development in Rajasthan under the leadership of Shri Ashok Gehlot again proves that the Congress rule is the best whether in state or at the Centre.

Wonderful Job

I am very happy with Congress Sandesh. It is on the lines of Gandhiian ideology, the far-sighted policies of Nehruji and will help the party in materializing the dreams of Indiraji and Rajivji. This can happen only when we overcome our differences and contribute our mite to make the party strong. It is our duty to carry the message to every home and Congress Sandesh is doing a wonderful job of propagating the Congress policies and programmes throughout the country.
