Bhajan Lal Begins Rejuvenation Act

CHANDIGRH : The former Haryana Chief Minister and newly-appointed president of the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, Bhajan Lal, has not lost his ebullient wit. A week in saddle, he has started rejuvenating the Congress in the INLD-ruled State by admitting Hukam Singh, former Haryana Chief Minister.

Hukam Singh is a prominent Jat leader of Bhiwani district. Mr. Bhajan Lal has invited all former partymen to return to the Congress. He asserts that his main task is to strengthen the party at the grassroots and strengthen the Party.

While interacting with media persons here, Mr. Bhajan Lal talked fluently and forcefully about the ‘inefficient and corrupt rule’ of the present regime while at the same time putting across his opinion and action plan regarding the burning problems facing the State which he has ruled for over 13 years.

He says it is his topmost priority to eradicate casteism from both the party and the State. He said he has appealed to Birender Singh, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Selja to work collectively for catapulting the party into a position wherein it can win all the ten Parliamentary seats in the States, besides the Assembly polls.
