We Must Win in HP

Congress Sandesh is vital link between the senior party leaders and grassroot workers. The credit for the marvellous victory of the Congress party in Shimla municipal elections goes to Smt. Sonia Gandhi. Himachal Pradesh will soon witness Assembly elections in which the victory of Congress party is certain. The people of the state are fed-up with the BJP Government. It would be useful if the senior Congress leaders visit the State to expose the wrong deeds of the BJP. I request the Congress president to direct the State party leaders to congregate on one platform as a show of unity and strength. The Congress must form the next government in Himachal. Handicapped

I am an active Congress party worker despite being a handicapped. I joined Congress when I was a student of class seven and I have now passed the Twenth standard. I believe in Congress policies and principles. I have a very deep regard for late Rajiv Gandhi and Smt. Sonia Gandhi and its office bearers. I hope that Smt. Sonia Gandhi will look into the problems of the handicapped.

I am Lucky

Reading Congress Sandesh, I feel lucky. I am a Congress follower and shall work for the party all through my life. I know the policies of the BJP vary in their preaching and practice. The Congress party, in over 40 years of its rule, had never practiced discrimination amongst the people. Today in Gujarat thousands of houses have been torched, innocent women and children have been brutally murdered. True Congress Tradition

I am a Congress worker and have spent my entire life for the cause of the party under its banner. I am now 78. I would like to express my views about the Congress Party through the Congress Sandesh.

The Congress party under the leader of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, sacrificed everything for the freedom of the country. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru followed Gandhiji enthusiastically for his programmes in the service of the nation. While fighting Britishers he had to face atrocities and was imprisoned several times. Nehruji did India proud worldwide. Indiraji gained a lot of political experience from Panditji. Indiraji deeply loved the countrymen. She even sacrificed her life for the sake of the nation. After Indiraji, Rajivji took the responsibility of governance. This youth leader truely served the country and his farsighted policies saw the country make rapid strides. He was a real Congress fighter. He also, sacrificed his life for the nation.

Smt. Sonia Gandhi then took the reigns of the Congress and broughtabout unity in the party when it looked unorganised. Now, the Congress Party has become stronger and experiencing success on every front. I believe that under the leadership of Soniaji the countrymen will be happy and prosperous.
