Best
Performance
The
victory of the Congress in Himachal Pradesh is one of the
best performances in recent times. This is an example how
unity helps. It is also a proof that Smt. Sonia Gandhi’s
leadership is very inspiring. Her ideas and policies are
excellent. Her courage in facing any crisis is admirable.

Right
Choice
My
heartiest congratulations to the Congress President for
appointing Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde as the Chief Minister
of Maharashtra. Congress is the only party that has not
discriminated people on the basis of caste and creed. As
Congress workers we should strive hard to strengthen the
party and realise the dreams of late Indira Gandhi and Rajiv
Gandhi.

Hindutva
Card
The
excellent performance of the Congress Party in the Assembly
elections held recently baffled the edius propaganda initiated
by the BJP. Shockingly, the Prime Minister at an election
rally in Himachal Pradesh played the ‘Hindutva’ card and
advocated the cause of building the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
With
the sole intention to repeat the Gujarat episode the BJP
resorted on playing with the religious sentiments of the
electorates as to divert their attention from the poor-governance
and corruption of its government in Himachal Pradesh.
I
eulogise Smt. Sonia Gandhi’s dynamic leadership of the Congress
Party for the last five years. I wish Smt. Gandhi all success
in her endeavour to frustrate the ugly motives of the communal
BJP.

Missionary
Zeal
Due
to the strong missionary zeal of Smt. Sonia Gandhi, the
people are becoming more aware of the Congress policies.
More and more people are placing their trust in the Congress.
And because of her efforts, the Congress recently won in
Assam, Punjab, Delhi, Uttaranchal, Meghala, J&K and
Himachal Pradesh. I pray god to bless her with a long life.

Only
Soniaji Can Help
The
BJP-led NDA government at the Centre has failed on all fronts
and only Smt. Sonia Gandhi can save the nation. With the
landslide victory of the Congress in Himachal Pradesh it
has also proved that soon Congress will come to power at
the Centre. Because of the faulty policies of the NDA government
the unemployed youth are taking to crime, the farmers are
forced to commit suicide, the law and order situation is
deteriorating, foreign policy is failing, communal frictions
are increasing, caste wars are on the rise and industrial
units are closing one after another. All this should be
prominently highlighted in the public whenever and wherever
possible.

Majority
Suffering
Jharkhand
is a state where majority of the people are from backward
classes. The population of such people are around 92%. But
they are denied participation in Congress organisations
and the government by a handful of forward class people.
How can Congress become strong by keeping away the majority?
I believe that the future of the Congress here depends largely
on this factor.

Rajiv’s
Dream
The
entire nation is patiently waiting to see when Smt. Sonia
Gandhi, the Congress president would lead the country. For
this, we have to make a little more effort by empowering
the panchayati raj as dreamt by late Rajiv Gandhi. We have
to fulfill his dream.

Gandhi
Baiters
In
the February, 2003 issue of the Congress Sandesh,
the Congress president, Smt. Sonia Gandhi, in her column
‘Letter to the Congress Workers’ has expressed concern over
belittling of Mahatma Gandhi by BJP. It is a serious matter.
When Indians go abroad they are recognised as the people
of Gandhi and Nehru’s country. Criticising such a personality
is injurious for our society. The time has come to defeat
the fascist to protect our Parliamentary democracy.
